The Kingman AirFest was created by EAA Chapter 765, a group of local pilots and aviation enthusiasts as a way to celebrate the Airport, honor the heritage of the Kingman Army Air Field including those who served, and to share the passion for aviation with the entire community.
First held in October of 2018, the Kingman AirFest is the largest such annual event in Mohave County attracting visitors and participants from across the Southwest. Hosted by an all volunteer staff in cooperation with the City of Kingman and a number of community organizations, the AirFest is an affordable, family friendly event that features something for everyone.
Based on an open airport fly-in and warbird gathering, the AirFest continues to grow with a variety of experiences, exhibits, and vendors. While not a formal airshow, the event features priceless warbird and classic aircraft on display, fly-bys, and thrilling flight experiences.
Partnering with flying museums including the Commemorative Air Force, Palm Springs Air Museum, Army Aviation Heritage Foundation, and Vegas Warbirds, the AirFest has hosted an impressive array of rare and historical aircraft such as the awesome P-51 Mustang, the legendary B-17 Flying Fortress, powerful AH-1 Cobra gunship and more.
The aviation exhibits are completed with participation from the Civil Air Patrol, flight schools, medical flight services, soaring clubs, and other local and visiting aircraft operators.
In addition to aviation the event features hot rods, custom and classic cars, a military vehicle and weapons display, living history activities, kid’s crafts and fun, plenty of food, music, great people, and organizations that serve the community. A perfect way to enjoy a day and join the Kingman Airport family!
