Kingman City Offices Closed for Memorial Day

The City of Kingman offices will be closed Monday, May 25, 2020, in honor of Memorial Day. There will be no residential or commercial trash service on Monday; Monday and Tuesday customers should put their cans out one day late. KART services will not be available Monday, as well.

City aquatics facilities will open Monday, May 25, 2020, and will operate next week Monday – Saturday, May 30, from 1-5:00 p.m. due to limited staffing. As staff is expanded, the city will update the community to changing hours of operation. Parks team members have been working hard to provide safe facilities and are following CDC guidelines:

·      Lines in front of both entrances are spaced six feet apart

·      Plexiglas in front and back entrance as well as concession area where sales takes place

·      Restrooms have dividers and handwashing stations have soap

·      Showers have dividers

·      Hand sanitizer stations will be set up in food area locations and areas where people might touch surfaces

·      Lawn chairs are six feet apart

·      Tables are for families who can remain gathered spaced 6ft. apart

·      Concessions line, slide line & diving board lines have been implemented 6ft. apart

·      Signs reminding patrons of safety policies have been placed throughout the building and on deck

·      Swim lesson participants will be spaced out six feet apart

·      Disinfecting will be taking place every 30 minutes and/or after each scheduled session on top of the normal cleans done daily

·      All staff have been trained on bloodborne pathogens and will be equipped with proper PPE in order to protect them and the public (lifeguards will not be wearing masks on deck when guarding due to safety in the event they have to perform a rescue; they will be practicing social distancing and wearing a mask indoors or on deck when not guarding)

·      Limited pool capacity at both pools; Centennial Pool will accommodate 120 people and Grandview Pool will accommodate 35
